Joshua "Josh" D. Allison is a native of the South shore area, having lived in St. Bernard Parish and schooled in New Orleans.  He attended Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond on a full academic scholarship and graduated in 2009.  Josh then attended Loyola College of Law in New Orleans and graduated in 2014.  While in law school Josh was elected by the student body to the Honor Board which administered Loyola's ethical code among the law students.  Also while in law school, he was honored to represent Loyola and New Orleans as a competitor in the world's largest and most prestigious moot court competition, the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.  For the first time in Loyola's history, his team won first place at the regional level, advancing to the international competition in Washington D.C. as one of only twelve teams representing the United States against over 80 law schools from 120 different countries.

Josh's practice focuses on civil litigation, specifically personal injury litigation, various types of commercial litigation, and various types of domestic litigation including divorces, custody, child support, adoptions, interdictions, and community property.  In the area of personal injury litigation, Josh takes his representation of injured clients as a very serious matter and seeks to obtain a just recovery for their injuries in an expeditious manner.  In the area of commercial litigation, he defends various types of Louisiana businesses and business people from unfair dealings and contracts as well as fraudulent and deceptive business practices.  He also counsels Louisiana businesses in the contracting phase of a business arrangement to avoid them unnecessary and expensive litigation at a later time.  In the area of domestic litigation, Josh works closely with his clients and their families to provide guidance and protection of both assets and family members through what is often an emotionally challenging time.

Josh personally acknowledges the role that religious faith often plays in his profession, and represents his clients ethically and conscientiously at all times
